We had been close right from Kai Po Che to Dil Bechara. He had promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans were made together, so many dreams were dreamt together but never once did I ever imagine that I would be releasing this film without him."He went on to add how he can visualise Sushant Singh Rajput with his beautiful smile showering blessings upon them. Sanjana Sanghi, Sushant's co-star in the movie sharing her jitters tweeted, "Nobody ever told me this is what pre-trailer jitters could feel like! My stomach is RUMBLING & ROARING. I hope you are all with us. I know he is."

Many other celebrities also wrote heartfelt notes at this juncture when the film is all set to release in the absence of the young and talented actor. Actor Anil Kapoor tweeted, "A beautiful trailer & tribute to the star we lost too soon but get to see him shine on screen one last time and be immortalised through his work forever in millions of hearts."

The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman. The film's release in theatres scheduled for May 8th got delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
