Cottonians take part in silent march in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: As a mark of remembrance of the student of the National Institute of Technology who committed suicide, the students of several educational institutions of the city including the Cotton University took part in a silent march. They also paid their homages to the departed soul and lit candles in remembrance.

The participants also prayed for the soul of the victim during the event. They also demanded that due attention be given to the mental well-being of the students. One of the students who was a part of the gathering mentioned that these incidents have a very adverse effect on society and demanded that steps be taken to strengthen the connection between the students and the teachers.
