Heroin seized; 1 arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: An operation was conducted on the basis of specific information by a team of the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) from Noonmati Police Station, where they seized suspected heroin concealed in 40 soap cases on Wednesday. In this connection, the team arrested one person identified as Abul Hussain. The total weight of the consignment was found to be 487.29 g. As per the NCB rate, the item is said to have a market value of Rs 97.44 lakh. The Noonmati Police have taken the necessary actions.
