GUWAHATI: Under the mission of vaccinating all children, 'Intensified Mission Indradhanush' (IMI) 5.0 campaign will be launched on Monday in Kamrup (M) district, targeting pregnant women and children up to 5 years of age who are deprived of vaccination. A total of 351 vaccination centres have been set up in the district for this programme. This vaccination will be registered through the U-WIN app. The campaign will mainly cover children and pregnant women who are excluded from routine vaccination, as well as children who are excluded from rubella vaccination.
A total of 4958 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the district; of these, 874 were pregnant women, 2837 were children aged 0-2 years, and 1247 were children aged 2-5 years.
The campaign will be conducted in three phases. The first phase will be conducted from August 7 to August 12; the second phase from September 11 to September 16; and the final phase from October 9 to October 14.
The district administration, Health department, and National Health Mission have made all necessary preparations for the smooth conduct of this campaign, and to spread awareness, various meetings have been put up.
