World PwDs Day celebrated at Regional Science Centre (RSC), Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Regional Science Centre (RSC), Guwahati celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) on Saturday at its premises with a variety of activities involving students, including special children, their parents, teachers and general public.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The theme for IDPD 2022 was 'Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world', according to a press release.
