Dr Hema Probha Borthakur is new RDSA tiol general secretary

Dibrugarh, August 25: The former president of Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) State Mahila Morcha, Dr Hema Probha Borthakur, has been appointed as the tiol general secretary of Rashtriya Dalit Sahitya Academy (RDSA) by tiol president of RDSA, Manoj Kumar, in New Delhi.

Dr. Hem Probha, who hails from Dibrugarh district, hold many significant positions under BJP Mahila Morcha, BJP Yuba Morcha and was even elected as commissioner of Dibrugarh Municipality Board for two consecutive terms. Dr. Probha who obtained her degree in BADHM, has been working as an active member of BJP in the State.

Several Dalit organizations have conveyed their wishes to Dr Hem Probha on her appointment as tiol general secretary of the RDSA.

“Dr Hemoprobha’s nomition has been hailed as a significant step towards the better working of the organization within the State of Assam,” chairman of the Academy, Monoj Kumar said. He further said that her appointment would help to build a better relationship with the other organizations of other States and help in building similar organizations in other States.

Dr Probha also served as former president of BJP State Mahila Morcha, former Secretary of BJP Assam Pradesh, Executive Member of Assam Pradesh BJP and Provari of Jorhat District BJP.
