Online birth and death registration begins in Hailakandi

Hailakandi, October 6: The online registration of birth and death certificates has begun in urban areas of Hailakandi district with Deputy Commissioner Moloy Bora formally distributing certificates to some beneficiaries, stated a press release. At a brief and solemn function held on Wednesday at the office of the Additiol Chief Medical and Health Officer (FW), Deputy Commissioner Bora said the online registration would make the process of obtaining birth and death certificates for the applicants hassle free and less time consuming. Bora stressed extension of the online registration system encompassing the people living in rural areas of the district. Joint Director, Health Services, Umesh Phangchu said the online registration currently available for people of urban areas will be made available to rural areas also in due course of time.
