SSB organizes civic programme along Indo-Bhutan border

MANGALDAI, March 30: The troops of 37th Battalion of SSB deployed at Indo-Bhutan Border organized a medical and veteriry civic action programme at village Samrang on the Indo-Bhutan border in Udalguri district on Sunday. Officiating Commandant Om Prakash took the initiative in organizing the day-long function in the area for the first time. All the gaon burhas from the entire area and a large number of villagers attended the function. Addressing the gathering, Officiating Commandant Om Prakash in his speech highlighted the need for child education, maintaining cleanliness and safety and security of the country. Chief Medical Officer Dr TT Hatzaw treated a large number of villagers and distributed medicines free of cost while Assistant Commandant (Veteriry) Dr. KS Singh treated village livestock and distributed medicines free of cost for livestock.
