State Fish Brood Bank iugurated

SHILLONG, May 21: Meghalaya State Fish Brood Bank the first fish brood bank in the state was iugurated by Dr Mukul M Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya on Thursday at Umktieh Fish Farm Ri Bhoi District. The fish brood bank which is the first of its kind in Meghalaya and in the North East region will stabilize the fish seed supply to the fish farmers of the state sourcing the best quality brood of fish from all over the country. The brood bank has received assistance and guidance from Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
