Assam: Workshop on Xatriya Dance and recitation organizes in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI: A ten-day summer workshop on Xatriya Dance and recitation was organized at Youth Club, Mangaldai with tremendous participation from the young talents. The Mangaldai LAC level workshop was organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs in collaboration with Darrang district administration. On the concluding day of the workshop, certificates were distributed to the participants of the summer workshop here at Youth club on Monday evening. In this connection a public function was organised at the club premises which was attended by Mangaldai legislator Basanta Das as the chief guest. Nirmali Devi Sarma, Chairperson of Mangaldai Municipal Board, Achuyt Das ,Vice Chairman, leading citizens Dr Amarendra Narayan Deb, Harimon Deka, senior journalists Bhargab Kr Das were present. Earlier Additional Deputy Commissioner Jonti Deka inaugurated the function anchored by radio artiste Pranjal Kr Sarma. Participants of the workshop performed Xatriya dance and recitation to enthral the audience.
