Cachar district administration holds meeting with citizens

SILCHAR: In view of complaints about anomalies against circle offices of Cachar district in different newspapers and news channels in recent times, Cachar district administration held a meeting with citizens of 5 circles of Cachar district at the conference hall of Silchar Municipality Board here on Thursday.

The Settlement Officer of Cachar & Hailakandi JR Lalsim enquired if the citizens are facing any issue in the revenue circles. In response to this, the citizens expressed their grievances and shared views in this matter. While speaking on the occasion, Settlement Officer Lalsim said, "It is a matter of concern that our fellow citizens are facing inconvenience in getting their job done in circle offices. The reason is involvement of dalal and non helping attitudes of staff. We will ensure to improve service delivery and mitigate the inconvenience faced by citizens as directed by the CM."

Settlement Officer Lalsim assured the citizens that their grievances will be addressed soon and ensured that direction of Chief Minister of Assam will be followed effectively and it is being implemented in letter and spirit in all revenue circles. She also added that such citizens' meet will be held by circle officers in circle level on regular intervals, stated a press release.
