DIBRUGARH: The first sub-committee of the Committee of Parliament on Official Language inspected OIL's Field Headquarters (FHQ), Duliajan and Pipeline Headquarters, Guwahati office recently.

The sub-committee comprising of Ram Chandra Jangra, Executive Chairman and Convener of the sub-committee, and other members Srirang Appa Barane, Shyam Singh Yada Iranna Kadadi and Sujit Kumar appreciated the efforts being made by Oil India Limited regarding the implementation of the Official Language at OIL's Field Headquarters, Duliajan and Pipeline Headquarters, Guwahati.

Dharmaraj Khatik, Sahdev Singh and Mukesh Kumar were also present in the meeting on behalf of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language. Ashok Das, Director (HR), OIL, was present at the meeting along with Prasanta Borkakoty, Resident Chief Executive, OIL, Arunjyoti Baruah, Chief General Manager (Admn), OIL and Diganta Deka, Officer (OL), OIL, who attended the meeting on behalf of FHQ, Duliajan.

The inspection tour was coordinated by OIL's Pipeline Headquarters, Guwahati. Before starting the inspection process, all the members, including the executive chairman of the First Sub-committee of the Committee of Parliament on Official Language, visited the Official Language exhibition organized by OIL on the occasion.
