

DOOMDOOMA: Following a massive fire incident on Tuesday, Fire & Emergency Services Station (F& ESS), Tinsukia launched Fire Safety Awareness Campaign. It was stated by Suruj Khanikar, RTC , Tinsukia F&ESS said on Thursday.
“A fire safety awareness campaign was conducted by Tinsukia F&ESS at Daily Bazar Commercial Area on Wednesday afternoon. Hundreds of people participated in the campaign,” Khanikar said.
“Fire preventive measures were discussed. They were requested to equip with fire extinguishers, fire detectors and other water-based fire fighting systems in commercial areas,” he added.
Tinsukia town is a densely populated district located in the eastern most corner of the State. It is regarded as the commercial hub of upper Assam and the neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh is also very much dependent on it to cater to its needs.
Fire broke out at Adarsh Path, Raja Ali Road under Napukhuri Police Station due to LPG Cylinder leakage. Due to narrow road no fire tenders could reach the spot. However, fire was controlled by using CAF Fire Extinguisher.
