Frequent interruption of internet service irks consumers in Naharkatia

NAHARKATIA: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a public sector telecom industry, has been providing internet services for years due to which banks, courts, government offices, educational institutions, business and commerce, etc. have been able to work digitally. But due to the negligence of some of the employees, BSNL is slowly dying. Naharkatia, the second subdivision of the Dibrugarh district, has a Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court, revenue circle officer's office, police station, treasury office and several sub-divisional government offices. Apart from this, State and Central GST offices, various government offices, many nationalized banks and financial institutions, including State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, private sector banks, village banks, many private-sector offices, schools, colleges, businesses and commerce institutions etc. are there in Naharkatia. In the present times, it is difficult to run a small business without internet services. In such a situation, the internet services of BSNL at Naharkatia in the Dibrugarh district are suspended almost every day for most of the time, due to which work in offices gets severely disrupted.
