Haflong Municipal Board employees withdraw indefinite strike

HAFLONG: Following the assurance from the Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa, the employees of Haflong Municipal Board (HMB) have withdrawn their indefinite strike from Tuesday.

The employees of HMB were on strike demanding immediate release of 18 months pending salaries from August 5.

CEM Gorlosa held a held a meeting with the chairman, vice-chairman and the officials of Haflong Municipal Board and Mahur Municipal Board to enquire about the revenue collections in the department and to solve the long-pending issues on Monday. He also held a positive discussion to resolve the current problems faced by the employees.
