House robbed in Sivasagar district

SIVASAGAR: A gang of miscreants broke into a locked house in Gajali gaon under Demow PS in Sivasagar district on Wednesday night and looted gold, cash and other articles. The theft took place when the owner Udesh Dey and his family members had gone to Moranhat to visit their relatives on Wednesday. “The unidentified miscreants entered the house by breaking the window and looted one gold necklace, 5 pairs of gold bracelet, 3 gold rings, 1 pair of earrings, 1 pair of nose ring and cash Rs. 25000,” stated Dey in the FIR submitted to the Officer-in-Charge of Demow Police Station on July 13.
