'Jal Jeevan Mission' schemes opened in Goalpara

GOALPARA: At least 11 Functional House Tap Connection (FHTC) schemes to provide door-to-door drinking water in rural areas under the Union Government's flagship programme 'Jal Jeevan Mission' was inaugurated on Saturday in Goalpara. The schemes will be locally maintained and looked after by the Public Health Engineering department. The Bhalukdubi PWSS in East Goalpara was formally inaugurated by Meenakshi Das Nath, Deputy Commissioner of Goalpara district.

The rest of the 10 schemes were also inaugurated on the same day in the different locations of the four assembly constituencies of the district.
