Northeast’s first-ever LPG refill delivery by Electrical Vehicles (EV) flagged off

DOOMDOOMA: For the first time in Northeast India, Allied Gas Services flagged off two Electrical Vehicles (EV) for LPG Refill Delivery on Friday from its godown at Azad Road. It is in keeping with zero carbon emission target of India for which Indane Division of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Tinsukia Divisional office took this maiden venture through its most reputed Star Distributor Messrs Allied Gas Services of Doomdooma on Friday. The two EVs for LPG refill delivery were flagged off by Dilip Lalung Gogoi, Director (Independent), IOCL and Saulay Kumrah, Divisional LPG Head, Tinsukia Indane Divisional Office, IOCL.

In the inaugural meeting that was anchored by Anamriya Baruah, Er Sujit Kumar Baruah, partner of the firm, welcomed the guests and felicitated the Indane officials which included Assistant Managers, Sales (LPG) Amit Roy and Prakash Sahani respectively, Sales Officer (Customer Service Cell) Sulendra Ramchiari besides above-mentioned two distinguished guests.

In their speeches, Director, (Independent), IOCL, Dilip Lalung Gogoi and Saulay Kumrah, Divisional LPG Head, explained the initiative taken by IOCL in carbon reduction and the target taken on its part for achieving zero carbon emission by 2046. They complimented the efforts of Er Sujit Kumar Baruah for taking the initiative for LPG Refill Delivery by EV which is cost effective and less pollutant.

Gautam Kalita, Sales Head, Green Valley Autoworks told the gathering about the advanced Electrical Vehicles specially constructed for Indian roads, about its utilities and superiorities compared to conventional vehicles and easy financing steps undertaken by the financial institutions for its purchase.

In the meeting Ranjit Sarmah, Executive Manager, associated with the distribution agency since its inception in 1982 and the Godown in-charge Prem Bahadur Gurung, also one of the oldest employees, were felicitated and awarded cash awards of rupees twenty thousand and fifteen thousand respectively. On the other hand, the necessary papers for three new connection for 10KG Composite Cylinders were handed over to Anjana Upadhyay, Arup Jyoti Deka and Jaisurya Bora by Division LPG Head Saulay Kumrah.
