Operations against drugs launched in different locations of Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: A series of operations against drugs were launched in different locations of Tinsukia on Saturday and 75.25 grams of heroin were recovered valuing Rs 15 lakhs and 5 persons were arrested with the seizure of 4 vehicles and cash of Rs 11,370.

At Bordoloi Nagar, 3.23 gms of heroin were seized from the possession and Utpal Barua’s house was searched. At Parbotiya Road, 65.21 gms heroin were seized from the house of Manoj Mallick and he along with his wife Pushpa Mallick were arrested. Cash of Rs 11,340, one e rickshaw, one Swift Dzire vehicle, three mobile phones were seized. At Makum road ward no.4 near Guru Nanak workshop, 6.8 gms heroin were seized from the scooty of Balram Roy. Two mobile phones were also seized.
