Small savings agents stages protest in Tezpur

Tezpur: Hundreds of agents of National Small Savings Agents Associations (NSSAA), India, Tezpur Chapter in Sonitpur district staged a protest in the Tezpur Post Office premises in support of their long-pending demands. Ranjit Kumar Kalita, publicity secretary of Tezpur chapter, said, “We have already submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India but we did not get any response till date. We have six primary demands, including dissolving the existing Shyamla Gopinath Samittee and forming a new committee with representatives of NSSAA, I along with increasing the commission and securing the future of the working agents.”
