Union Power Minister RK Singh's effigy burnt in Lakhimpur district

LAKHIMPUR: Along with other anti-mega river dam project organizations, Asomiya Yuva Mancha also reiterated its demand for the closure of the Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (SLHP). In support of the demand, the activists of the organization, burnt the effigy of Union Power Minister RK Singh at KB Road of Lakhimpur district on Wednesday. AYM central committee organizing secretary Anupam Saikia Lakhimpur district unit general secretary Bikash Bhumij, other office bearers of the district committee and members were present.
