Abhiruchi Sports Day to be celebrated on September 3 in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Abhiruchi Sports Day will be celebrated on September 3 with various functions throughout the State. The central function will start in Guwahati with mass jogging and it will be followed by several other events including felicitation of State players who represented India during the last one year. It may be mentioned here that September 3 is the birthday of first Arjuna Awardee of Assam Bhogeswar Baruah and the day is celebrated as Abhiruchi Sports Day. The organizers has requested the sports organizers of the State to submit the list of their players who represented India between September 2021-July 2022 within August 8.
