Assam Cricket Association Appointed Pravin Amre as Batting Consultant

GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association (ACA) appointed former Test cricketer Pravin Amre as its batting consultant for the senior state team. Amre already joined with the team in Mumbai.

Releasing the news to media the secretary of the ACA Devajit Saikia said, “It’s true that our batting is not upto the mark and we struggle on this department every season. ACA has decided to hire one batting consultant for the team this season.”

Elaborating Amre’s job with the team Saikia said, “Due to some other obligation he will not be with the team for full season this time. But Amre already joined with State squad in Mumbai where our team is taking part in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Cricket tournament. Later he will come in Guwahati and will also work with our batsmen during the preparatory camp of Ranji Trophy.”

Meanwhile, Assam Cricket Association announced Rs 2 lakh cash incentive for upcoming player Dasarath Kumar who recently has been selected in the India ‘A’ team for the forthcoming Challengers’ Trophy which will be played in Hyderabad from November 11. Paras Mhambrey will be the coach of the team.
