Assam Cricket Association is all set to host Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy from May 14

GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association is all set to host the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament from May 14. The preliminary rounds of the tournament will be played at various venues across six zones that included Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Nagaon, Morigaon, Goalpara, Silchar, Karbi Anglong, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Tezpur and Mangaldai. The Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy is one of the most prestigious cricket tournaments of the State and it provides a platform for budding cricketers to showcase their talent. As per the format of the meet 12 teams will qualify for the final stage of the meet from the preliminary rounds and they will be divided into four groups with three teams each. While the final round matches will be played at four different venues, Guwahati will host the semifinals and the final.
