ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh government has made special arrangements for transportation of returnees who will arrive in Guwahati and Dibrugarh by special trains from New Delhi from Wednesday onwards.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a tweet said, "Special trains from Delhi have been arranged to ferry stranded Arunachali people back home."

A senior government official here informed that for the stranded people who will arrive at Guwahati on Wednesday, would be taken to respective check gates of their districts through buses and the fares would have to be borne by the returnees.

However, transportation from the respective check gates to the concerned districts would be arranged by the government, the official said.

Passengers who are travelling to Tawang, West Kameng and East Kameng districts have to pay an amount of Rs 1000 per head as bus fare for travelling to Bhalukpong check gate, while those for Pakke Kessang district have to pay fare of Rs 1100 per head up to Seijosa check gate from Guwahati, the official said.

Passengers travelling to Papum Pare, state capital, Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Kurung Kumey, Kamle and Upper Subansiri districts from Guwahati railway station have to pay bus fare of Rs 1300 per head up to Banderdewa check gate from where they would be taken to respective districts, the official said.

However, all the passengers arriving from outside the state would have to go for mandatory 14 days institutional quarantine, the official added.

For the people who would reach Dibrugarh in Assam on Thursday, have to pay the fares up to the check gates of their respective districts.

While people of Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit and Namsai will have to travel to Shantipur check gate for onward journey to their respective districts, people of Tirap, Longding and Changlang will travel up to Namdang gate and those of East Siang, West Siang, Upper Siang, Shi-Yomi and Siang district would travel up to Ruksin gate.

People travelling to Lower Siang, Leparada would have to travel up to Likabali check gate and those for Papum Pare, Capital complex, Lowr Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Kurung Kumey, Kamle and Upper Subansiri would travel to Banderdewa gate.

"The people for Tawang, West Kameng and East Kameng will have to travel up to Bhalukpong gate while those travelling to Pakke Kessang will go up to Seijosa check gate," the official added.
