Dipen Tanti is a resident of Bezepathar, Dhemechi under the Dibrugarh district, Assam. He is the son of Late Bamunda Tanti. Tanti is 65 years old. His wife is Dipika Dewan Tanti, a housewife and they have a son.
He is a graduate of Moran College. He had completed his HSLC in 1971 from Demow H.S School. In 1975, he completed his P.D.C from Demow College.
Dipen Tanti had won the Assam Assembly Election of 1985 as an Independent from the Lahowal constituency. He has now joined the Asom Jatiya Parishad and would be contesting the Assam Assembly Elections 2021 from the Thowra constituency on an AJP ticket.
His assets consist of agricultural land and many non-agricultural properties. His total assets are approximately worth over Rs 4 Lakhs.
