Hitendra Nath Goswami was born in 1959. He is the son of Late Shrinath Dewa Goswami and late Rambha Goswami.
Education:
He did his Class X (Matric) from J B Law college, Jorhat in 1976. He did his graduation from St Edmunds College, Shillong. He also a Law Bachelor's degree from Gauhati University.
Career & Politics:
In 1991 he contested the Assam Assembly elections and won. He won the 2001 and 2016 elections as well. He is the Speaker of the 14th Assam Assembly. Out of his 3 terms in the Assembly, two terms he spent as an Opposition member.
