Lohit Gogoi is the son of Prema Gogoi. He is 41 years old. He is a resident of Likson gaon, Kakotibari in the Charaideo district. He is a teacher by profession and also a social worker. He is married to Anjana Changmai.

Education

He received a Master of Arts in Assamese from Gauhati University in 2004.

Political Career & Social Work

Lohit Gogoi is contesting the Assam Legislative Assembly from the Mahmora constituency as an Independent candidate. He is contesting elections for the first time.

Lohit Gogoi is a social reformer, who has been working for the welfare of the people. He takes keen interest in reciting his poems. He is associated with various cultural and social organizations

Gogoi does not have any criminal record.
