Early Life

Suruj Dehingia is the son of Rameswar Dehingia. He is a resident of Ushapur, Arunudoi Path in Charaideo district. He is married to Ranju Moni Hazarika, and they have two children. His wife is a teacher.

Education

Suruj Dehingia completed his HSLC from Demow Higher Secondary School under SEBA in 1992. He did his HSSLC from Moran Higher Secondary School under AHSEC in 1994. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in 1998 from Moran College under Dibrugarh College.

Career & Politics

Suruj Dehingia is a businessman. He is contesting the election from Mahmara constituency for the second time. He contested the Assam Assembly election of 2016, but lost to Jugen Mohan of BJP by 14,325 votes.
