Early Life

Daisy Roy, 46, is the daughter-in-law of former Congress strongman from Barak Valley, six times MLA and four times Assam minister Gautam Roy. In this election, Gautam Roy is contesting for the seventh time from the Katogora seat on a BJP ticket. Her husband Rahul is also contesting from Udharbond as an Independent candidate. She is a resident of Ukilpatty, Silchar Town, Assam. 

Education

Daisy Roy is a graduate of Handique Girls College, Guwahati, 1999 batch.

Career and Politics

She is contesting the Assam Assembly elections for the first time. She is a housewife. She is going to fight the Assam elections 2021 as an Independent candidate from Algapur constituency which is in Hailakandi district.
