Dilip Kumar Das is the son of Darshan Das. He is 52 years old and is a resident of Babutilla, Bhorakhai Grant, Silchar. He is married to Pratima Rani Das who is an Anganwadi worker (Government service holder).
Education:
He has passed his HSLC (Matric) from Borakhai High School in the year 1984.
Career & Politics:
Das is a businessman and had been a former member of the BJP. He had resigned from the party in 2018. Dilip Kumar Das is a popular face in his Panchayat and is commonly known as "Dulu Das". After filing his nomination as an Independent candidate, Das has changed his mind and has joined hands with the BJP again.
However, he is contesting as an Independent candidate from the Sonai seat.
