She passed H.S.L.C.(Matric) from Kiran Bala High School in 1984. She passed Higher Secondary from Nowgong Girls college in 1989. She completed B.A from Cotton College under KKHSOU in 2012. She then completed her M.A in Assamese from Nowgong College in 2017.
