Guru Jyoti Das is the son of Late Jagat Chandra Das. He is 43 years old, resident of HowlyMohanpur, Darrang. He is married to Leena Das.

Education:

He is a B.Com pass from Mangaldoi Commerce College, 2004 batch.

Career and Political Life:

Guru Jyoti Das is the sitting MLA of Mangaldoifrom Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2016 Assam Legislative Elections he defeated Basanta Das of the Indian National Congress party by securing 73,423 votes. Guru Jyoti Das won by 22045 margin votes. He is contesting the upcoming Assam Assembly elections 2021 on a BJP ticket to retain his Mangaldaoi seat.
