Early Life:

Kamakhya Prasad Malais a resident of Rakhal Tilla village in Cachar district of Assam. He is 66 years old. He is the son of Late Sudhangshu Mala.

Education:

He is a Graduate from RastravashaPrachar Samiti Wardha, 1981 batch.

Career and Politics:

Kamakhya Prasad Mala contested Assam Assembly elections for the first time as an Independent candidate in 1985 from the Dholai constituency but lost the battle to Digendra Purkayastha of INC (Congress) party.

Again in 1991, he contested the Assam Assembly election from the same constituency. This time he was defeated by Parimal Suklabaidya of the BJP party.

In the Assam Assembly elections of 1996, he lost to Girindra Mallik of INC (Congress) party.

In the 2006 Assam Assembly elections, Kamakhya Prasad Mala again lost to Parimal Suklabaidya of BJP.

This is the fifth time he shall be contesting the Assam Assembly Elections.

Kamakhya Prasad Mala shall be contesting as an Independent candidate from the Dholai constituency.

The gross total value of his movable assets is Rs 67,000 and that of his immovable assets is Rs 18 lakhs.
