Mihir Kanti Shome from Udharbond: Early Life, Controversy & Political Career

Early Life:

Mihir KantiShome, 50,is a resident of PurbaSalganga in Cachar district of Assam. He is the son of Late MohitoshShome.

Education:

He is a Class X (Matric) pass from D.N.H.S School, 1987 batch.

Career and Politics:

Mihir KantiShomefirst contested the Assam polls as an Independent candidate from Udharbond constituency in 2011 and lost the battle to Ajit Singh, from INC (Congress) party.

In the Assam elections of 2016, Mihir Kanti defeated Ajit Singh of the INC (Congress) party.

This is the third time he shall be contesting the Assam Elections. Mihir KantiShomewill once again contested the Assam Assembly elections as a BJP candidate from the Udharbond constituency.

The gross the total value of his movable asset is Rs 2,10,000 and that of his immovable assets are Rs 16 lakhs.
