Abdur Rashid Mandal Biography
Abdur Rashid Mandal is a resident of Dhumbandha village, Bashbari in Goalpara district of Assam. He was born on 28st January, 1963 to Late Santesh Ali Mandal and Begum Sukuti khatun. He got married in the year 1989 to Taiyoba Khatun and is blessed with two sons.
He has a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Assam Engineering Institute, Guwahati 1985 batch.
Career and Politics:
Abdur Rashid is the sitting MLA from the Goalpara West constituency. He is a Congress politician. He is the president of Goalpara district Congress Committee and also the Chairman of Assam Minority Development Board.
Abdur has been re-nominated as the Indian National Congress (INC) Candidate for the 15th Assam Assembly Election from Goalpara west Constituency.
According to the nomination filed with the Election Commission of India, his total movable assets are worth Rs. 71.88 lakhs.
A case has been registered against him for allegedly causing harm to an individual to commit extortion, along with allegation of criminal intimidation and also allegation relating to public servant taking gratification other legal remuneration.
