Abdus Sobur Miah is a resident of Borkolia, Nashkara village, Dhubri district of Assam. He is the son of Shamuddin Miah. Abdus is 61 years old.

He has completed M.A in Economics from Gauhati University in 1984.

He is a retired Associate Professor. He is contesting the 2021 Assam Assembly Election from Salmara South constituency on a Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) ticket.
