Ashima Bordoloi from Gauhati East: Early Life, Controversy & Political Career

Early Life:

Ashima Bordoloi is the daughter of 2-time MLA and former Assan minister Captain Robin Bordoloi. She is the granddaughter of Bharat RatnaLokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi, the first Chief Minister of undivided Assam. She is 47 years old and is a permanent resident of Dr B.K. Kakati Road, 105-Gopinath Bhawan, Guwahati.She is married to Dr Prakritish Bora, a well-known paediatrician of Guwahati.

Educational Qualifications:

She is a B.A, 1993 batch.

Career and Political Life:

She is a former Councillor of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC). She is Secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee. She is contesting from the GauhatiEast constituency on a Congress ticket. She is a first-time candidate.
