Hajo is a town and a Development Block under the Kamrup district. It is a pilgrimage religion centre for Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. The town is located on the verge of the Brahmaputra river. Hajo is a town under Kamrup district/region, Assam, India. Kamrup (Rural) district is an administrative/authoritative district of Assam. Its headquarters is at Amingaon. The Kamrup (Rural) district was initiated in the year 2003. The region comprises of around 1,517,542 peoples. Therefore, he got departed from the Assembly/MLA seat by 8908 votes.
