20,000 masks made by SHGs distributed in Demow

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Demow Development Block, the self-help groups that are under the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, Demow has prepared 20,000 masks and on Monday, Kushal Dowari, MLA of Thowra constituency, distributed the masks among 20 Gaon Panchayats of Thowra constituency by maintaining social distancing.

The masks will be used by the officials and employees of the panchayats and job card holders of MGNREGA. In his speech, Kushal Dowari, MLA of Thowra constituency, stressed on wearing masks and maintaining social distancing in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

In the programme, 20 secretaries and members of 20 panchayats of Thowra constituency were distributed a packet of 1000 masks. MLA Kushal Dowari distributed masks prepared by Asomi Gut among the local media persons of Demow.
