GOLAGHAT: In a sudden raid carried out by the officials of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Golaghat under supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakhimi Dutta on Thursday at Srimanta Nagar of Golaghat district. During the raid, altogether 27 LPG cylinders were recovered from Dipu Kapoor of Srimanta Nagar and seized all the cylinders.
In this context, S. I., Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Golaghat Mriganka Krishna Gogoi said that during the lockdown of Covid 19 pandemic an allegation has been raised that public was not getting LPG cylinders after several days of online booking. The department took the matter seriously and on Thursday, a raid was carried out in the Srimanta Nagar where 14 Bharat gas cylinders and 13 Indane gas cylinders were allegadly stored by Dipu Kapoor. Accordingly the cylinders were seized for unauthorized storage and illegal black marketing. Legal action as per provision of law would be taken against him, said the Supply officials.
