DIBRUGARH: Around 6,900 litres of condensate oil were seized during police raid in 2 no. Naoholia under Duliajan Police Station on Tuesday. A police team headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Namrup and OC Duliajan, acting on specific intelligence input on oil theft, conducted a raid at 2 no. Naoholia and arrested one Bolai Majumdar on charges of oil theft.

Police seized around 1,400 litres condensate oil from Bolai's residence. Further interrogation of the arrested person led to recovery of 5,500 more litres of condensate oil from one Poresh Majumdar's house. However, Poresh was not in his house during the police raid. Legal action has been initiated against the accused persons at Duliajan PS.
