Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi to review Budget expenditure in BTC

KOKRAJHAR: Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi, who took over the reins of BTC administration on April 28 after the expiry of the term of the Hagrama Mohilary-led elected council on April 27, will visit BTC on Monday.

During his visit, Governor Mukhi is likely to discuss details of budget and expenditure and implementation of centrally-sponsored and State-sponsored schemes. Sources said the Principal Secretary of BTC had asked all CHDs and Secretaries of the departments to keep ready all details of information on target achievement of all the schemes implemented by each department under SOPD, CSS and State Programmes, including beneficiary-oriented schemes and district-level activities like healthcare, social welfare and Swachh Bharat.

Sources also said the report of the departments would include budget allocation and expenditure of 2019-20, proposed expenditure for 2020-21, any grants received from Government of India and Government of Assam, constraints faced like manpower and fund problem, percentage of completion and expenditure in PPT mode, revenue earned by the departments, among other things.
