TANGLA: Former Deputy Speaker of BTC, and BPF candidate for Bhergaon BTC constituency, Nerswn Boro has alleged that the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) and United People's Party Liberal(UPPL) have been misleading the common people of the Bodo belt with misinformation and want to gain political mileage out of the recent Bodo accord which is just a truce promising development in the region.

Boro, who is one of the petitioners in the writ petition in Gauhati High Court challenging the Governor's rule in BTC vide writ petition WP(C) 2143/2020 along with former Executive Member of BTC Jagdish Sarkar, is confident that the court verdict will be in their favour. "We firmly believe that the law of the land will prevail and our contention will be upholded by the court ." On question if the BPF-BJP-AGP alliance has surfaced any dent, Boro said, "We.are still in alliance in Dispur but there are a section of BJP leaders and workers who created a communication gap between the top leaders of both the party but we are not dismayed let them try their fate in the polls as we believe people of the region will not reimpose their faith in a national party in the council polls."

Boro also exuded confidence that Hagrama Mohillary led Bodoland People's Front(BPF) will form the government for the fourth consecutive term winning in more than 32 constituencies out of 40. Boro said, "Bodoland People's Front(BPF) is synonymous with development, peace and integrity and have been instrumental in developing the road infrastructure, building university, colleges among others in the region ever since the inception of BTC in 2003 and people of the region have witnessed radical progress during our tenure ." Boro further said, "Like the BPF implemented the clauses of the Bodo accord of 2003, we are determined to implement the clauses of the Bodo pact signed on January 27, and it is not only BPF, but even if any other party comes to power in the polls they are duty bound to implement the pact in letter and spirit.
