BAKSA/TAMULPUR: Government officials must be responsive to the people, said administrator Rajesh Prasad on Saturday at Mushalpur in a review meeting at DC's office conference hall in Baksa. He also appealed to the officers of various departments to think from the perspective of the people.

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Baksa, Ranjan Sharma, the newly-appointed administrator took stock of ongoing schemes under various departments in the district. He asked the officials of Water Resource, PHE, PWD and Agriculture departments to implement their ongoing schemes before the forthcoming monsoon season.

Prasad asked the District Veterinary Officer about the production of eggs and health condition of pigs. He asked the Superintendent of Food & Civil Supply to distribute rice to non-NFSA card holders in a proper manner. However, he asked all ADCs, Civil SDOs and Circle Officers to verify the ongoing schemes of different departments under their respective areas and submit the report to the DC immediately. He reiterated that BTC was formed for the faster development of this area; so he urged all to work for the welfare and progress of the area.
