Guwahati:
Assam Finance and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, taking to Twitter earlier today, attested that the COVID-stricken Cachar district is "doing very good."
Sarma, in his tweet, said that he is personally monitoring the process in Cachar. "Quarantine, contact tracing, everything is fine so far", Sarma said.

Sarma made the claim while responding to a tweet that questioned him and the Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal as to why Cachar does not have any quarantine centres. The user, a certain Antara Paul had written on Twitter: "Why aren't there any quarantine center in Cachar? The zone turned significantly from Green to Orange in the ArogyaSetuApp. Why wasn't there adequate checking equipment at the border which resulted in such havoc? Who's at fault? The people travelling?"
It is pertinent to mention that there has been a recent boom in the number of cases in Cachar district. "
