Dimasa Students' Union (DSU) condemns Harangajao incident during lockdown

HAFLONG: The Dimasa Students' Union (DSU) strongly condemned and expressed concern over the incident that took place at Gamadi Hawar of Harangajao during the nationwide lockdown, stated a press release issued by Nigom Langthasa, Publicity Secretary, DSU,(Central Committee) on Friday.

The release maintained that according to the media sources, it was learnt that 5 (five) unknown miscreants came to their house in a white bolero on the evening of April 24 at 6pm and abducted Santosh Hojai and later his body was found on Thursday at Lailing area under Langting Police Station.

Kidnapping and killing of innocent person like Lt. Santosh Hojai, businessman and a former DHD leader and a father of three children, was really a matter of grave concern. Dimasa Students' Union strongly condemned such unfortunate incident that had happened when the nationwide lockdown was going on during which the movement of all movable objects were restricted. The Dimasa Students' Union (DSU) as well as the general public of Dima Hasao stand bravely against the inhuman act done by the unidentified miscreants and demanded the district administration to look into the matter deeply and request the higher authority for the strong investigation and to book the culprit as per law and request the authority to handover the case to the National agency like CBI/NIA, for further inquiry.
