Lakhimpur DC Dr. Jeevan B permits hardware shops to open of the district

LAKHIMPUR: During the third phase lockdown, Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jeevan B has accorded permission to open all the hardware shops of the district from 6.00 am to 5.00pm. This permission was accorded by issuing an order vide no. LMJ. 8/2020/129 keeping in view the urgency of completing all departmental construction works before the ensuing monsoon season and taking the considerable demand for different kinds of hardware items for various works under consideration. The DC issued the order by exercising his power conferred to him under Section 30(2)(V) of Disaster Management Act, 2005. According to the order, wearing of masks by the employees or staff of the shops concerned is mandatory. Further, the shops must ensure the maintenance of social distancing, proper hygiene and provision of hand washing and sanitizers in their complex.
