Self-Help groups (SHG) outlet for cotton mask opened at Biswanath district

BISWANATH CHARIALI: In a small step with a view to keep the district in green zone, a mask sale outlet namely ASOMI Cotton Mask prepared by women self help groups of Sakomatha BMMU, Biswanath district under Assam State Rural Livelihoods Campaign, was inaugurated by Tripurendra Pator, CEO, Zila Parishad, Biswanath on Friday at the heart of Biswanath Chariali town police point.

Habibulla Ahmed, DPM, ASRLM, Pankaj Gogoi, BPM, Sakomatha, other BMMU officials, jeevika Sakhis and citizens of the town were present on the occasion.

Similarly, such type of sale counter of ASOMI cotton mask prepared by women self help groups of Chaiduar BMMU, ASRLM was opened at Gohpur by MLA Utpal Bora, Gohpur today in presence of BDO, Chaiduar, Bijoy K Konch. BPM and BMMU officials and other citizens were present.

It may be mentioned here that poor SHG members have earned some livelihoods at this crisis by selling such type of double layer washable cotton mask.
