Youth distributed 1,600 face masks in Dhakuakhana

LAKHIMPUR: A group of youths did a laudable job in Dhakuakhana subdivision of Lakhimpur district in order to sensitize the masses about the precautionary measures to be taken to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

As a part of their initiative, these youths - Jyotishman Borah, Tilen Das, Sonmoni Baruah, Prafulla Chutiya, Abhijit Baruah, As his Kishor Das and Dimpal Baruah of Baligaon- distributed 1,600 masks among the people with their own money. Moreover, they gifted the same to the journalists of the subdivision too.

During the mask distribution drive, the youths conducted awareness programmes on the pandemic among the common people and appealed to them to maintain social distancing and ensuring frequent hand washing.
